Sam Houston Post 95 has gone to the dogs! Bring your dog to the post Tuesday 8/26/25 from 6:30pm - 8pm for free milk bones, the canteen will be open to the public and we have a 'dress the dog' costume parade at 7pm. winners will be awarded at 7:30pm! DOGS MUST REMAIN LEASHED OR ON TIE-DOWNS WHILE ON THE PROPERTY
It's that time! The annual Auxiliary Unit 95 Chili Cook-off! Awards for 1st - 3rd place, trophy for tasters choice, and don't forget to bring those 5-star beans, best Bloody Mary recipes and magnificent Margaritas! This is open to the public and there is a $10 tasters choice sample kit available!
It's time for the annual Fall Festival and Haunted Hayride at Sam Houston Post 95! Come out and join us for a spooktacular time! Walker County motorcycle riders, we want YOU! Come join the poker run and decorate your bike at the post for the Halloween costume contest! 4pm to 7pm enjoy the vendors and activities, treat yourself to something good to eat, and take a haunted hayride from 7:30pm to 11pm! It's always family friendly, fairly priced, and we can't wait scare you!
Join our Sons and Riders for a benefit and bike run! We need to support Hadley Soucier, and help him recover from his accident, Don't Cha Know! Fun Run registration is from 8:30am to 9:30am, stops include Post 618, Post 629, Post 402, KSU and end of run right here at Post 95! Food, games, poker board, and a live and silent auction will also take place! Fire up that bike for day of fun for a good cause! We can't wait to ride with you!
Cook up your best Chicken Spaghetti and come join us for a taste-off! Cook it at home and bring it with you or pack those ingredients up and come cook at the post! Turn in time is 3pm sharp, no late entries! Tasters kits are available too, if you don't want to cook, then just come eat! Blind judging, first place and tasters choice awards to be presented!
It's a first ever youth cook-off at post 95! Hosted by our award-winning Junior Auxiliary Unit! If you're a kid who loves to grill, or you've got a teen with keen BBQ talent, register them to compete! Turn-ins include boneless wings, hot dogs, sliders, and an open, where they can grill their favorite! Chief cook must be 21 or over!
Come out and join the fun! It's the 18th Ever Chigger Hill IBCA BBQ Cookoff at Post 95! Camp out, hang out, cook out and see if your best recipes get you a trophy! Sam Houston Post 95 is family friendly and family first, and we can't wait to see all our teams this year! And we need vendors! If you are a local vendor, register and join us! Join us on Sunday April 13 for a family style Easter Gathering! We have a free Easter Egg Hunt from 1pm-2pm (age restricted to keep it fair!), a car show from 12pm-4pm, you can come out and vote for your favorites, and we'll have an Easter Bunny on hand for photos! We will also have kite flying and an egg dye station (while supplies last!)! Our event will open at 12pm with a community blessing and prayer by our post chaplain, Dr. Richard Henriksen, Jr. We hope to see you there!

Fire up that motorcycle and ride for a good cause! Kick stands up at 9am on Saturday March 8 for a benefit run for our American Legion Rider Charles Caldwell, who is battling cancer! Register at 9am, leave the post at 10am and end back at the post to participate in the raffles and enjoy a sandwich on the house! Cancer affects us all! Help us support our Rider!
Join us at the post for the 2nd ever Superbowl Sunday Tailgate a Table Event! This is for our general membership and their guests! Put together a tailgate team, purchase your table, cook up your best Sunday football foods and decorate your tailgate to win! There will also be a silent auction and football scoring squares for sale, which include a meal and drinks!
It's the Breakfast Club Karaoke Membership Drive! Come dressed in your best Breakfast Club costume and sing your favorite songs from the soundtrack! If you are a Walker County Veteran with a DD-214 showing an honorable or general under honorable discharge, our Legionnaires Wants You! If you are a spouse, son, daughter, stepson, stepdaughter, or grandson or granddaughter of a veteran, our Auxiliary Wants You! Join us and learn how you can help us continue the mission!
