We honor these four WWII chaplains of the U.S. Army and their incredible sacrifice that influenced the birth of the American Legion Chaplaincy. Methodist George Lansing Fox, Roman Catholic Priest John Patick Washington, Dutch Reformed Minister Clark Vandersall Poling, and Rabbi Alexander David Goode.

Post 95 Chaplain, District 7 Chaplain

Our chaplain, Dr. Richard Henriksen, Jr. so graciously and beautifully hosted our first ever Four Chaplains ceremony. For all who attended, it was a very special experience! Our chaplain is seen here with the award presented to him by Sam Houston Post 95, to commemorate his efforts and his dedication to us all.
